I discovered Rembrandt´s work when I was studying Dutch landscape artists from the 17th Century, such as Ruisdael, Hobbema, Van Goyen, etc. I was interested in discovering his landscape work because he is one of the greatest Western painting masters. I was amazed by his atmospheric sensibility, his work with light and the apparent simplicity of his performance. “The Stone Bridge” is a great work, an iniciatic work in the mystery of Dutch landscape. I would love to continue studying in depth this theme, since I believe it to be fundamental to my education as an artist, and I hope my work could someday be recognized just but a fraction of what Rembrandt was.
